Oktay Sinanoğlu was born on the 25th February, 1935 in Italy. His father N. Haşim Sinanoğlu was a counsellor there. His mother Rüveyde Sinanoğlu was a translator. When he was 4 years old, he moved to Türkiye with his family. He was a brilliant student. He graduated from high school with a high degree, and he got a scholarship in the USA. He studied chemistry. He became a famous and successful scientist. He got married to Dilek Sinanoğlu and he had twin daughters. He got the title of professor in chemistry on the 1st July, 1963. In the same year, he became the youngest professor of the world. He could solve complex problems in Quantum chemistry. After 37 years in the Yale University, he retired in 1997. Then he focused
on the importance of the usage of the Turkish language. He had some books like “Bye Bye Türkçe”, “Hedef Türkiye”. Many people called him as Turkish Einstein. He died at the age of 80, on the 19th April, 2015.
