If I could travel back in the history of music, I think I would travel to the 40s. A song is not its beat and tune. Lyrics matter and the songs of that time had great lyrics.

To me, the music of the 90s does not focus on emotions. Hip-hop and rap are based on the beat and lyrics. It should be beyond that. The songs of the period may be catchy and uplifting but are not tuneful and emotional at all.
