We live in the freezing far north and often see the northern lights in the sky. Our modern detached house is in a quiet area near deep forests. My parents and I love living close to nature. Today, many families usually live in warm houses, but in the past, they used to live in simple cottages. Life was harder, so people had to be strong. My great-grandmother was one of them. She could travel long distances and hunt in the snow. Winters are long, and summers are short here, so we usually enjoy skiing or hiking and resting at home afterwards.

Our home floats gently on the tropical rivers of Borneo Island. We live on a traditional houseboat, so space is limited. Most families here are nuclear, like ours, and we stay close. The hot climate and the river shape our daily life, and we spend a lot of time outdoors. Evenings are usually calm. We relax by watching science fiction films and listening to the sounds of the river and wildlife outside. In the past, my father used to work as a fisherman. Today, we still live on the river, but our daily life is more modern.

In the middle of wide deserts, our villa has cool inner courtyards. Family life is very important, and we often live close to our extended family. We share meals and help each other with daily tasks. At weekends, we camp in the desert or watch the sunset together. Family life is still the same, but working life is different. In the past, parents used to work in more traditional jobs. Today, many people commute to modern offices.

Our farmhouse stands near green fields, windmills and colourful tulip gardens. We are a blended family with half-siblings, and relatives often visit. Life is closely connected to nature, and daily routines follow the rhythm of farm life. In the past, families used to spend evenings together, talking and sharing stories after work. Today, we still spend time as a family, but we prefer long walks, bike rides, or relaxing at home after a busy day.
