Welcome to Sutton Hill School! It is a large upper secondary school in England. The education system in this country has several stages. Children begin with pre-school and attend nursery. Then, they move on to primary school. After that, secondary education starts, first lower secondary and then upper secondary. Each student belongs toa year group, and students in the same year study together. Sutton Hill supports students throughout these stages and helps them grow and succeed. At Sutton Hill, students are very active in school life. They work very hard because they want to graduate and get a diploma with high marks. This is a necessary qualification for university. Students know they must study to achieve their goals. Every day, teachers give classwork and homework. They check both carefully. Sometimes there is a short quiz in English or maths, but students do not like surprises at all!

In the morning, teachers drink coffee and tea in the staffroom, but students do not go there. After PE lessons, students change their clothes in the locker rooms. At the moment, some students are preparing for sports. Some are playing rugby on the field, and others are playing volleyball on the court. In the indoor gym, a group is doing gymnastics. Creativity is also important at Sutton Hill. It has many after-school clubs. For example, some students love photography, and they are in the photography club. They take beautiful photos every week. Others enjoy art, and they join the sculpture club. Right now, some students in the sculptureclub are making a big horse from clay. Many  students love English, and they join the spelling bee club. They practise spelling difficult words and have competitions. Some students are good at strategy, so they join the chess club. The best player in the chess club always wins the school tournament! Sutton Hill School is a happy place. Everyone wants to succeed and have fun.
