1 Earth-Like Planets with Human Habitat2 Mercury and Venus: Alternatives to the Earth3 Strange Planets in Our Solar System 4 Dangerous Planets of the Milky Way Galaxy

Among all the planets in our solar system, which belong to the Milky Way galaxy, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter are probably three of the most mysterious ones. Although planets revolve around the Sun in stable orbits, each of these three has unique celestial features that attract the interest of scientists. The closest planet to the Sun, Mercury, has almost no atmosphere, and temperatures change dramatically.

During the day, its surface becomes extremely hot, and it freezes at night. Because of these conditions, scientists consider life on Mercury quite impossible. Space missions use advanced spacecraft and telescopes to collect data about Mercury's surface and conditions. With a nearly equal size and surface gravity, Venus is also known as the Earth's twin. It has a thick and strange atmosphere which mostly consists of toxic gases. Its surface is hotter than Mercury's, even though it is farther from the Sun. As it is unlikely to send human beings because of the toxicity and acid rain, scientists have conducted several space missions with uncrewed spacecraft to this weird planet since 1961.

The largest planet in the Solar System, Jupiter, has an atmosphere that consists of helium and hydrogen gases. It has nearly a hundred moons. Some scientists believe that its moons could have oceans. If they find an ocean, they will search for unknown forms of life. Future space missions may plan to send astronauts or robots to explore these moons and search for new discoveries.

Soru: k) Read the text carefully. Write Mercury (M), Venus (V), or Jupiter (J) for each.

1 _It is an interesting planet, as its moons may support life.2 _ It has extreme temperatures because it has no atmosphere.3 _ Some scientists believe that it may have unknown forms of life.4 _ It is difficult for humans to explore, as it consists of toxic gases.5 _ Among the planets in the Milky Way, it is the closest one to the
